Working Through Covid-19, Update 3/24/20
With Governor Pritzker's orders for non-essential workers to "Shelter in place" until April 7th, the DreamMaker Team is currently operating in a modified capacity. The Design Center is not open to the public and all employees are working at home, with the exception of material deliveries to the warehouse.
We are all in the midst of terms and phrases and situations with which we are unfamiliar and are left to interpret as best we can with resources available. Via the HBAI, Home Builders Association of Illinois, the remodeling and construction industry falls into the category of "essential business". While I am sure "essential" means something different to just about everyone, we are thankful to be included in this category. We are, however, choosing to do our part to protect our employees, our clients, and our community, by adhering to the March 21 - April 7 orders. We will choose to adapt and be creative in how we serve our clients.
Actually, there is something a bit exciting about thinking out of the box and realizing that there is more than one way to communicate with clients. Technology offers some great tools for us to continue having great discussions and working through the design process with those interested in remodeling early Spring or Summer.
At this time, our Designers are still helping clients with regard to their kitchen and bath designs and all of their remodeling projects. Our Modified Simple Process looks like this:
