Smart Planning Means Smart Saving for Your Remodeling Project
Yay, it’s here! The DreamMaker Holiday Financing Promotion is back!
For those of you planning a kitchen or bath remodel in the first quarter of 2018, right now is prime time to start planning and talking to a designer. And with the Holiday Financing Promotion, it is time to save real dollars too. Quick and simple, the financing offer allows you to choose 12 Months with No Interest or Up to $2000 Cash Allowance towards your qualifying remodeling project, with contract signed before December 31, 2017. If you are a detail person (and we do love you too), you can check out all the details on our Financing Page.
If you are a newbie and are just starting some research regarding remodeling and what to expect, where to start, how disruptive will this be to my schedule, and how what is my time and money investment going to be, then let this be our first piece of advice.
Allow yourself the time to PLAN. We do get phone calls from folks who have already completed demo, and are wanting design, materials, and a functioning bathroom in a few weeks. Haste makes waste.
So reality is:
1. This isn’t HGTV and everything doesn’t get wrapped up neat and tidy in one weekend.
2. Your ideal (stylish, appropriate, budget conscious, proper size, color, etc.) cabinetry, tub, faucets, flooring, lighting, tile and countertops probably aren’t just sitting on a shelf in town ready for you to pick up with a day’s notice. What you see in great Instagram pics and blogs are not off the shelf items, and
3. Most qualified companies don’t have skilled labor just sitting waiting for your call. Realistically, if a company is busy and has a schedule that makes you wait a bit, that is probably a good sign.
Oh that sounds harsh, and we are sorry to be that bearer of bad news. The good news is that taking the time to plan almost always leads to the best results in just about anything in life – remodeling included.
Here at DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen, we suggest starting the conversation with a Designer with the expectation of anywhere from 3-5 meetings (depending size of project) to discuss and determine full scope of work, budget for the project in its entirety including materials, labor, licensed additional tradesmen, and full selection of materials down to paint color and light switch locations. This can take as little as 2-3 weeks or as much as 5-6 weeks, but it will be an organized experience moving you through the process in a fun and painless way. We will officially get you on our production calendar as we begin the material selection process and start procuring all of the items specifically for your new space once the contract is complete. Again, for all detail lovers, jump over to Our Process page for the road map.
Bottom line, if we start planning for your new kitchen or bathroom now, you get great savings and something fantastic to look forward to first quarter of 2018.
