Lake Springfield Sleek and Modern Primary Bath

The Story Begins

Piece by piece and room by room, this young family is modernizing their Lake Springfield home — and the primary bath became one of the most transformative spaces. Once dated and undersized, this bathroom now embodies modern elegance, functionality, and balance. Clean lines, bold contrasts, and thoughtful design choices bring contemporary sophistication to everyday living.

Before the Renovation

The existing primary bath showed its age — limited in both storage and usability. The narrow shower and traditional layout left little room for two people to get ready comfortably. Natural light was underutilized, and fixtures felt outdated. The homeowners envisioned a complete refresh that would maximize space and elevate their daily routines.

The Vision

DreamMaker’s design team reimagined the bath as a modern retreat where function meets refined simplicity. The homeowners’ wish list guided the plan — double vanities, a spacious walk-in shower, a floating design aesthetic, and heated floors to add a touch of everyday luxury.

Strategic space planning allowed for a dramatic increase in comfort and efficiency. The new shower grew from just 30” x 40” to an expansive 48” x 80”, while a short-depth wall now subtly defines the shower and toilet areas for added privacy and flow.

A new obscured single-pane window allows soft natural light while maintaining privacy — completing the balance of form and function that defines this remodel.

Design & Functionality

The new primary bath delivers sleek, modern design through clean lines and intentional proportions, along with a thoughtful palette of materials.

Key Design Features:
  • Large, doorless walk-in shower with built-in bench seat

  • Floating vanities and slab-front cabinetry for a streamlined aesthetic

  • Wall-mounted faucets and vessel sinks to emphasize vertical visual lines

  • Wall-hung, tankless toilet for a minimal, airy feel

  • Heated tile floors for everyday comfort

  • Black matte fixtures and linear shower drain to anchor the design

Together, these features create a cohesive, spa-inspired space that feels both grounded and open — perfectly aligned with the home’s evolving modern character.
