Framed, Frameless and Inset Cabinets: What's the Difference?

With this video we plan to give the quick overview of what the terms framed, frameless and inset mean, as well as share some typical pros and cons of each.

Understanding the differences between framed cabinets, frameless cabinets, and inset cabinets will help you make decisions as you contemplate designing and purchasing materials for your home renovation project. So is there one style of cabinet construction that just hands down is better than all the others? Absolutely not.

While framed and frameless can look very much alike on the outside, inset cabinets will have a significantly different look. So in this case, the overall style of your home and in particular, your kitchen or bathroom, will probably dictate if inset will match that desired look. Otherwise, it could be cost that helps you decide, or perhaps your installer may have a preference.
